Project day

Activity based learning is when children learn on their own through various supervised activities.It is an interactive way of teaching children.Besides puzzles, games, role play, skit and story telling etc, demonstration using real objects helps them to become active learners. When children engage in project work learning becomes joyful.Projects help students develop teamwork along with the ability to communicate effectively with others. Today's KG project was such a team work by our kids, their parents, all the staff and non teaching staff. Chief guest for the day was Mrs. Sunanda Murali, Principal, SDKY Gurukula Vidyalaya.


Charity visit

The visit to the charitable society sandwanam located in kakkanad was a life changing experience.We got to interact with the children and they were very happy with our visit. They were overjoyed with the gifts they received which were donated by our parents. Our KG students entertained them by singing and dancing. Everyone had a wonderful time.


Fruits and Vegetables Day.

With an objective to create and educate children about the importance and consumption of fruits and vegetables in regular diet, the children from PreKg, LKG and UKG celebrated Fruits and Vegetables Day. Children were explained the importance of fruits’ and vegetables’ intake in diet for mental and physical growth. The tiny tots also learned more about the taste, smell, colour and texture of each fruit and vegetable.One of the student demonstrated by making fruit salad.Children participated in different programs like narrating the importance of fruits and vegetables, fashion show, sang song with great zest, enacting the rhyme with enthusiasm and vigour, they also did activities, enjoying the moments of joy and happiness on this special day.


CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATIONS

Children's Day is the most auspicious day in the life of every child. Children's Day is celebrated on 14th November every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He loved children dearly and is fondly remembered as Chacha Nehru by them. KG dept celebrated children's day with great joy .Students pinned red roses on their dress and Asher Vibin of UKG dressed up as Chacha Nehru. Prizes were distributed for the winners of Talents day.


KERALA PIRAVI

To the land of unmatched legacy, Happy Kerala Piravi. A festival of festivities, celebrating the grandeur and the cultural heritage of Kerala, which is loved by all of us. KG Department celebrated Kerala Piravi. Dhruv K P dressed up as Parasurama and Durga R Marar gave a beautiful speech on Keralapiravi. Children were also given an insight about Kerala's traditions and culture, a small quiz was held based on the same and children were given rewards.


BHOOMIKA TINY TYROS FEST 2022

SBOA Public Sr Sec School hosted an inter school sports and cultural competition Bhooomika Tiny Tyros on 28th Oct'22. Eighteen schools from different parts of Ernakulam participated in different events.The fest was inaugurated by Ret.Prof M Thomas Mathew of Maharaja's college Ernakulam.The prizes were distributed to the winners by the famous Lyricist Shri. Chittoor Gopi. Peace International school got the overall championship award.


DIWALI CELEBRATIONS

Diwali is one of the famous and the biggest festival of India. It is also called ‘The Festival of Lights’. Shri Ram with Sita and Laxman returned to Ayodhya after 14 years in the jungle and for this purpose we celebrate this festival.The day is filled with joy and happiness. Everyone love this festival very much. Our KG department celebrated Diwali with lots of joy and enthusiasm. Children came in colour dress and brought sweets which they shared among themselves. Children dressed up as Shri Ram, Sita,Laxman and Hanuman and the story was narrated. Cupcandles were also lightened.


World Food Day

World Food Day is celebrated annually on 16th October. This day is remembered as an action dedicated to tackling global hunger. These events promote worldwide awareness and action for those who suffer from hunger and for the need to ensure food security and nutritious diets for all. To make the day more special our KG students along with KG Superintendent Audrey mam , teachers and parents visited Valsalya Bhavan which is an orphanage located in vaduthala. Children were given food and snacks. The inmates of Valsalya Bhavan sang songs and played instruments and our KG children also sang songs which made everyone happy


World Postal Day

The KG students celebrated the world postal day on 10th October 2022 by making greeting cards. They were taken to the Chittoor Post Office, where they posted their letters in the post box. They also interacted with the post office staff, saw various types of stamps. They were also given information about various services provided by the postal department. It was a learning experience and a pleasurable day for the children.


Onam Celebration

Onam is a major festival celebrated by keralites all over the world. People celebrate the festival to remember the generosity and prosperity of King Mahabali. The homecoming of the great King Mahabali is celebrated as Onam. KG students celebrated onam with great enthusiasm by singing onam songs, performing traditional programs showing their love for the beloved king.


GRANDPARENTS DAY

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure and always stand strong for the family. Through their special love and care, they keep family close to heart. To honour them our KG dept celebrated grand parents day on 14th Sep 22.All the grand parents who attended the program were very excited, they showed involvement by participating in different activities. It has certainly been a day that we all would remember for a long time.


INDEPENDENCE DAY

India, got its Independence on 15th August 1947. But behind the story of Independence, lies a vast history of sacrifices and struggles of our brave leaders who fought for the country’s Independence until their last breath. This day is a national celebration for all Indians, who come together in the joy of Independent India. Pre Kg, LKG and UKG students celebrated Independence with great enthusiasm.They wore the tricolour badge, sang patriotic songs, gave speeches which made the day very special.


COLOUR DAY

Nature has many colours, which makes the world look beautiful. Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. With this objective the students from PRE KG, LKG and UKG celebrated “Colours Day” on 27th July 22 To mark this day very special, students wore colour dress. They decorated their classes and actively participated in all the activities. Each of them got an opportunity to speak about their favourite colour . Everyone enjoyed the colour day celebration.


MUSIC DAY

World Music Day is celebrated on June 21 every year to honour the musicians and singers for the gift of music, which gives flight to the imagination and life of everything. The right kind of music can help people to do wonders.No one can imagine a world without music since it plays a major role in all our life.


YOGA DAY

World Yoga Day is observed on 21 June across the globe. Yoga helps us to manage daily stress and its consequences.It has been beneficial in keeping the body and mind in sound health.


FATHERS DAY

To our Dad who believes and supports us each day, each time.... with all our heart we wish you Happy Father's Day! May this special day bring fond memories, joy, and fun your way.Love you dad?????????
